I especially hold Mammoth dear because this is where it all started for me. It was 4 years ago and I was at a point in my snowboarding where I started to get into filming, but one thing that really frustrated me was that someone else was putting their take on my whole season. I had already been into filming and editing, but I didn’t do too much because you usually need 2 to tango when filming. I attempted to shoot some selfie style riding with a camcorder, but it was really difficult to hold the camera in the right position. Then I saw the GoPro. The very first time I used the camera, I took it out to Mammoth’s Main Park and did 6 laps to see if it worked. The footage looked epic so I posted an edit that night. The next morning my phone rings and it’s someone from GoPro calling me asking for the footage, and offering a contract. Those 6 runs in Main Park gave me the freedom to pursue snowboarding in a new way. My own way. Mammoth has given me so much, I will be forever grateful. I’ll show my gratitude by shredding there any chance I can get.”
